July 31, 2012:  Sudden Rush, Kū’ē! (Way Out West WOW-9702, p1997). My selection for fifth most historically significant album in Hawaiian music. Is its music Hawaiian music? Some will say yes; some will say no. In this album, Sudden Rush demonstrates that Hawaiian language is relevant to where Hawaiians are in the present, and more importantly, that Hawaiians LIVE and THINK and BREATHE and EXPRESS in the present. Our culture is not a museum relic.
